Good italian food...
I love sandwich number 5 is riquicimo with salad and tribeans, mmmmm
i love lasagna.. and this place makes the best!! highely recommended!
Great sandwhiches!! They also completely changed the place.
The food here is good. There are plenty of choices for Italian food including pizza, Italian sausage sandwich, meatball sandwich, lasagna, pasta, and more.
There is a grocery store where you can buy the ingredients and make them yourself at home.
Also, there is a gelato counter where you can buy some yummy ice cream (although the prices of the gelato are a bit high).
Pinocchio is an outstanding Italian deli and restaurant. There is always a lot of hot food ready to go or you can order a salad or have them make a sandwich. The portions are VERY large. The deli has a lot of gourmet food and staples, so plan on buying a lot of treats when you are there. They also have fresh gelato which is to die for.
You can eat here or get take-out. Great sandwiches, pasta and eggplant. The market and deli have a great variety of imported food products.

I rarely shop at the deli but I since its part of Pinocchio Restaurant and I can't seem to find it on yelp, I guess this would be where to post. I've been coming here for more than 15+ years! I love the customer service,...the vibe and of course the food. Lasagna, eggplant parm, spaghetti meatballs, sandos and pizza are always a good choice. Growing up in Hawaii and SoCal, all I knew was...

We had a great dinner here. We really enjoyed the pizza and the Italian food looked great too. They also had a deli and they sold gelato as well. Fun place!
I was expecting a sit down and be waited on type of Italian Restaurant when we walked in. I was a bit disappointed when I realized I had to order at the counter and then take my tray to the table. Once I tried the...food I was happy I stayed. Great Italian menu with a good selection of beer. They have a gelato selection that is worth a visit on its own. The deli has a great selection so be...
First time visit to restaurant, came during lunch time. Walk up counter, choose food already prepared or order food. I ordered a pastrami sandwich, came with 2 sides when dining in. Food was delicious and savory. Deli is attached to restaurant also. Desserts are also...available. Next time in town will definitely return for dinner
I stumbled upon this place several years ago when exploring Burbank. They have a great selection of meats, cheeses and sundries. At the food cafeteria my favorite is the linguine with clams and their amazing garlic bread. Can't wait to return!
Pinocchio's is a classic Italian-American cafeteria style restaurant, with nostalgic atmosphere, and good food. Sinatra and friends play in the background as patrons seated in red vinyl and dark wood booths eat and drink among charming paintings and shelves of wine bottles. The adjacent Monte...Carlo deli offers a wide selection of Italian foods, and the gelato is yummy!
Buonissimo!
We stopped in for gelato after visiting nearby Halloween Town but it smelled so good that we returned later for dinner. Both gelato and dinner were fabulous. Huge portions for low prices! The meatballs were the best and the pasta salads were great. The huge...hunks of garlic bread were yummy dipped in all the extra sauce. We will be back whenever we are in town!
I had the meat lasagna which was ricotta and unseasoned hamburger and very few noodles. Just awful. The garlic bread was garlicy but dry and hard as a bone. I will never return.
Been here a few times and it never disappoints. You pick what you want from the counter and they prepare your dish right there. I had a Caesar salad and it was superb, the freshly cooked garlic bread melts in your mouth.
Eat in or...take away it’s the best food around and well worth a visit.
This restaurant is connected to the Monte Carlo Italian Deli, which has been in the same location since the mid-fifties. We started going there in 1959 and it is still the go-to place for the best Italian Cold Cuts. The restaurant was added probably in...the Seventies and food is wonderful and a great value. I always get the roast beef sandwich with provolone cheese. They load it up with spices...
Last minute choice as we we’re craving Italian last night! Being second in the best of Burbank Italian restaurants and nearing closing time we winged it. It was still busy and and the food was okay. Not as good as I wanted it to be....The serving was big so we had leftovers to bring home. It was a cafeteria service kind of sit down restaurant. You have to find your own seat. A favorite of the...
I attended a luncheon at Pinocchio today. As people arrived, they went through the buffet line, ordered their lunch and adjourned to the private room where the luncheon was being held. I ordered a large, hot pastrami with two sides. The buffet line only had...one register and customers who ordered by phone or online could bypass the line and go directly to the cashier. The whole process was...
You know a good place when the line is out the door. On most evenings and weekends be prepared to stand in line, but it does move in a good pace. You can view and select the entrees and pay the cashier, you can order...the pizza and you pick up when ready, it is self served restaurant cafe style. Perfect for a large group and everyone can pick what they want & pay separately, but come and have...
This place is amazing. The Deli as well as the restaurant are really great and true american/italian traditional. 5 stars, always a pleasure to come here!
Used to love coming here, the servers were so friendly and cheerful. Now they roll their eyes if you don't order right! The way they talk is kind of...
I don't love Italian food in general, but I do enjoy eating here. The environment is very interesting decor. You can choose to eat inside or out on the patio. The food comes with large garlic breads and save some room for sides. It's hearty and tasty. You can even eat some gelato afterwards in the side store.
Got take out from Pinocchio's last week. I had never been there, but have a friend who frequents the deli. I ordered a meatball sandwich, a sausage sandwich ( I have eaten their sausage at my friend's home many times and love it), and an order of lasagna with meat sauce. I also bought some …
I have a business colleague with whom we roam across the restaurant scene in Burbank for the sake of variety and also to find that elusive place where...
spaghetti and meatballs! but everything is great and the garlic bread and the eggplant parmesan!
Mama Mia!! reminds me of the tiny Italian supermarkets I've grocery shopped while in Italy and a grab-and-go Italian themed restaurant. We evening strolled into this Italian treasure of a market that stored a ton of my favorite Italian imported snacks shelved on the right side, a deli and gelato counter in the …

My first time shopping and having lunch....best sandwich (Monte Carlo) EVER!! Whenever I'm in Burbank, this will be my first stop. And the Tiramisu Gelato is bomb!!
This place has changed very little since my moms brought me here as a young girl. The place is charming/divey from the wooden Pinnochios on the shelves to the swinging sounds of Dino and Frankie...
Pinocchio is cute and I like to support local restaurants, but I can't warm up to this one. It's in the heart of Burbank,on Magnolia, great location, hard to miss it. I prefer the Deli part of it,...
Been eating and shopping here since I was a kid. Love old school deli with Sinatra playing. Gelato station is also very good.
It's like walking into an Italian market / deli. They sell some fine Italian wines at reasonable prices. They have a fantastic service deli with things like olives cheeses , aged meats and breads. A couple rows of " hard to find " canned and bottled products for cooking your own Italian cuisine. They also have an excellent little Italian...
This is a review for the Monte Carlo Deli part of the establishment, not the Pinocchio Restaurant. Came here to the for dessert to get some gelato. I got the two scoop of coconut and hazelnut...
Many great memories from my childhood were spent here. The good is still wonderful and so is the service. I'm glad it's still a great place to bring my family to!
Prices are very reasonable. Great selection of sandwiches and entrees. Eat-in sandwiches include choice of two salads. Entrees authentic Italian selections.
Service is cafeteria style, but lines go fast.
Don't really understand why the big fuss over this place. I've been here a few times in the past and revisited again today just to see if it was me that didn't like it but, it's not me. The foods are all pre-prepared they just sit there and it looks so unappetizing. They warm up food in a microwave infront of you and it's not even that cheap. I won't be back.
Lunch or dinner, Monte Carlo Deli is a good choice. Grab a slice of Lasagna, a hot pizza, pastrami, and even cannoli . And it doesn't have to be a hot day for gelato!
This has been my go to place since childhood! The most authentic, Italian joint this side of Burbank! Their Rosemary Chicken plate with 2 side salads, the Spinach and Greek with a Garlic Bread are all included for just under $10.00!
Italian Restaurant & Deli | Breakfast/Brunch | Catering | Chicken Fettuccini Alfredo | Desserts | Garlic Bread | Happy Hour | Lasagna | Pasta with Pesto | Pizza | Salads | Sandwiches | Spaghetti and 2 Meatballs | Monday - Sunday open until 9 pm
Very tasty, and very inexpensive Italian restaurant. Pastas, pizzas, sandwiches, and desserts, all great !
Restaurant with an Italian market attached or Italian market with a restaurant attached? Who knows, who cares. A great little place. Do not be afraid of the lines you might see, they move very quickly. You order at a cafeteria style counter, the food is right in front of you. And what wonderful food it is and fresh to boot!...
Great no frills family style restaurant that serves wonderful Italian food at a reasonable price. The BEST lasagna! The adjacent little market is also worth the trip.
Friendly service and great food. Love the market.
The perfect place to go for a romantic and affordable date. My boyfriend swept me off my feet without breaking the bank.
My family & I have have shopped at Monte Carlo for 55 years. Everything in the store is top notch including the help. Being Italian, it's one of the few places where I speak my language & hear it spoken to me. Love going in there.
Very filling portion. It was a perfect Sunday in Burbank; we arrived right before the dinner rush. Absolutely delicious, and the meat sauce was made very well (and surprisingly not salty!).
This place is AMAZING! Best Italian food I think I've ever had, great atmosphere, great service, wonderful authentic Italian deli. We are hooked!
I've been shopping here since 1974! Best Italian sausage... anywhere!! RIP Natale, Tony & Cosmo. I'll never forget you!
Great service; quality, choices and quantity of food is excellent. I do agree, however, the pasta need to be drained more so sauce isn't watery.
This place is like walking into Italy. anything you want. Cookies, pastas cheeses, olives, etc. wish the employees were friendly. To get them to smile, ya gotta push but doesnt matter.
This is an epic Italian home style eatery. Good and cheap for lunch and unbelievable sandwiches.\r
Also try their lasagnas. Yummy
Mixed review for this one. The deli is THE BOMB, but the prepared food is only so so. Gelato is solid. But really it's all about the imported meats and cheeses at the deli.
having an all Italian family and parents who are immigrants from Italy this is by far the most authentic Italian food In burbank
This place has incredible service and a delicious menu. The prices are very reasonable given the location. Definitely worth checking out.
This place is tasty - cafeteria style Italian food, go to the counter and order hot food, salads (lasagna and spaghetti and meatballs are my favorites), it usually comes with garlic bread. Gelato is in a separate case, very tasty as well. Easy for big groups.
I have returned to the home of Katie's forefathers, or as her Dad calls it, "The Motherland". Burbank is where he and his five brothers and sisters grew up. This is the place where some of them still reside. It is also the city where I may have disgraced the entire family. After eating across the street at Tony's Bela Vista, I wrote my review, and let's just say it did not go so well. It was...
The portions are great for what you pay. Very tasty and theres a deli built into the place awsome for some of your fave meats cheeses or deserts to take home.
If you are looking for some Italian food that is not only authentic but won't cost you an arm and a leg, this is the place. You have a wonderful deli/mini mart built into one of the best Italian restaurants you'll eat at. You get a lot of food for so little money. You also got to love the Pinoccio theme throughout the building. Great place to eat at with friends and family. Don't forget to get...
I love seeing all of the available food behind the counter. I wish they had one price where you could walk behind the counter,
grab a fork, and dig in to whatever you wanted. The only thing I would change would be GET SOME BIGGER DRINK GLASSES!
House-made sausages, fresh bread and artisan cheeses are offered from behind the glass counter by older gentlemen with accents as rich and thick as the delicious aromas hanging in the air. Alongside the deli to the right is a tiny grocery area filled with international treats, sweets and pantry needs. To the left of the deli is a cafeteria-style hot food service area, a dimmed diningroom passed...
Great good, well priced, original Italian eatery. I had the meat lasagna with meat sauce - absolutely fantastic. Old-school character and friendly staff. Family friendly.
My girlfriend and I found this place a while back and it has been one of our favorite spots in the Valley. They have by far the best meatballs I've ever had. I love the old-school, mom and pop feel of the place. Their deli has some great stuff too. Only r
Making a ragu on Sunday? Need some sausages for a bbq or gelato? This Burbank deli can help you with both. Fantastic deli and Italian related goods. The other side is a restaurant and they serve big Americanized-Italian food -- massive amounts if you chow the food there. Their store gravy (ragu) is not that bad though it's made for American tastes.
This place is a crack up, and acts like a magnet for all the local single guys who work at the studios and don't want to cook. Having said that, the Pinocchio makes and awesome meatball sandwich that is worth navigating all the sad looking dudes waiting in line for their italian fix,
Not only is this place an amazing deli & gelato place, they also have pretty amazing food. You order your hot food cafeteria style with the trays and pay for the food up front. They have tons of seating and their food is delicious!
Hands down, this IS the BEST food value in Burbank. The food is usually delicious and low priced for what you get. The meatball sandwiches are amazing, the salads are tasty, the eggplant parmj is great, and even the lasagna is good. I've had the pizza here and it's not the best..I'd order something else. They have an Italian bakery next door that's stocked with gellatos, meats, cheeses and all...

Beyond the hefty portions of decent Italian classics (lasagna, eggplant parmigiana, spaghetti with sausages or meatballs, etc.), the attached deli is great! The deli has mostly imported goods from Italy, fresh breads (including bread sticks), huge selection of olive oils, fantastic pizza dough, and deli meats.

Been going here over 30 years. The restuarant is excellent -- the lasagana, salads, in a homey family environment, and the cold cuts and rolls--to love them. Yum Yum.

I probably visit this restaurant at least twice a month. Food is good and dependable. Atmosphere is casual and fun. Good place for a quick lunch or dinner. Cheap prices, big portions. I could elaborate, but just read the other positive reviews and you get the idea.

The food here is good, not the best, but the prices are a plus. However, if you are looking for courteous and decent service, you've picked the wrong place. The bus boys and serving staff are arrogant and ignorant. I've even seen the staff talk down to customers? even the owner is a schmuck!? but, they have learned to respect me because I give it right back to them, and in front of everyone!...

The food here is good (not the best) and prices are a plus. However, if you are looking for courteous or even decent service (I've seen toddlers with better social skills than the people who work here), you've picked the wrong place. My first trip to Pinocchio's was on a crowded night and I happened to find an empty table that needed to be cleared. I asked a bus boy (if you go there I'm sure...
Looking for good Italian fast-food at a Great Value? Pinocchios is the place! The pastas, meat dishes and salads are already prepared and ready to go. The place is always busy so the prepared food goes fast and replaced immediately with freshly made food. If you?re ?germ phobic? and hate buffets, not to worry because the prepared food is behind glass and served by the restaurant staff. ...
I am 1st generation from Italy. The restaurant part of it is bad. If you like real Italian food you will not like this place. Their food tastes worse than Olive Garden. Their food has always been way over cooked. The sauces lack flavor. The veal was soggy and gross. I had an incident where an employee in the deli department asked my mom where in Italy she was from cause my mom and he were...
The people are friendly. The ambiance is good. They give good sized portions of the food. The Italian sauce is just fair. The veal is o.k. The Lasagna is good consistency but nothing special. This needs to be enhanced by a greater passion for the food. It looks good but lacks the quality it suggests. However in the pastry, the canole is the best. Overall, what is missing is a little sweet and a...
This deli really knows how to slice meats and cheese and is always more than helpful.
i've been coming to this place for years. it's not fancy italian at all -- certainly no pesto sauce here! it's like an old fashioned chicago joint. there's a menu on the wall, but mostly people just line up and point at what they want. it's the basics, spaghetti, meatballs, parmesagnas, lasagna, etc. there are some healthier salads. they have submarine sandwiches too, but i never seem to order...
What a great place. The food is incredible.. from the lasagne to the pasta salad. From the hand tossed ceasar salad to the large selection of spumoni. And the deli is one of the best italian deli's in the area. Eat there or take it home.. mmmmm.
The food is not great. Edible, yes. But very not great. They have some kind of machine that makes the entire corner smell like yummy Italian food, but once you get in there it's straight cafeteria/jail style. The food looks and tastes likes it's been sitting there all day. They mask the grossness with the aroma and the amount of food you can get for $10, but if you've ever been to Italy (yes, I...

This is a hidden gem in Burbank! All of the food is outstanding, the people who work there are friendly and always willing to accomodate. My gf is vegan and many of their standard dishes have to be changed to accomodate that, and the people who work there are always more than happy to help. This place is awesome! Easy parking, cheap prices, big and tasty portions, and always a smile and...
You basically get what you pay for at Pinocchio's. Prices may be low, but the quality reflects the lower prices. Service at this place is non-existent and you better tip more than $1 at both the entree and gelato lines or else the staff will let you know about it.
A combination of gelatto shop, deli, and restaurant than anything else, Pinnochio's is an old-fashioned multi-faced establishment that conjures up images of the 1930s. I came here to try the gelatto, which to me was their specialty. They have a 5-flavor sampler cone which was delectable and fully satisfying if not a trifle overpowering. I would like to come back for their restaurant but from...

Come early cause the line gets long by noon! This cafeteria-style restaurant offers great value and delicious food - big portions - hot and tasty. Choice of three dining rooms as well as outdoor patio. Nothing...

In ShortBudget-minded seniors, families and cast members point out their selections from lines hugging the L-shaped steam table and deli case. Plastic red-and-white-checkered tablecloths adorn worn Naugahyde booths in all three dining rooms, which are united by a wine cellar motif and images of the namesake wooden boy. The menu has changed little over two generations, and includes submarine...
I wouldn't say it's the greatest, but it is very decent food and very fair prices. The portions are generous as well. Lots of the typical tomato-y dishes, lasagna, parmigiana... but the hot sandwiches make the guys from work salivate at the thought. Good for a filling and hot lunch -and easy on the wallet.
Pinocchio -- and the adjoining Italian market: Monte Carlo--
are awesome. Sure the food is served cafeteria-style but its
is great tasting and the portions are ample. Don't be fooled

Man, oh, man! $10 will get you a feast at Pinocchio's. Don't let the prices fool you, the food here is very good. I do not know how they stay in business. The eggplant parmesan is to die for! The cannolis are heavenly! The feta salad is marvelous!
As a starving student, I trully appreciate a good value. This place is the one of the valley's best kept secrets. I wish they were open 24hrs....
Excelent food, service and ambiance. Try the pizza, lazagna, tortellini, the sandwiches.
I recently tried Buca di Beppo for the first time, and I couldn't help but thinking that Pinocchio is sooo much better and only 1/5 the price. No, it's not a special occasion favorite like Buca, but who cares? Why pay $22 for spaghetti and meatballs when I can pay $5?
I've been going to Pinocchios for as long as I can remember. Friends have told me it reminds them of neighborhood bodegas in New York and Chicago. The food is delicious if you like basic old style southern Italian. There's nothing elaborate about it. The choices are simple: spaghetti, egglplant, squiggly noodle spaghetti, meat or vegetarian lasagne, chicken or sausages. That's about it.
